This place is wonderful. We ordered take out but I was impressed to walk in and see a cozy place that smelled so terrific. The owner and her son were there to help and great me. And the food? That has to be the best orange chicken I have ever had. You can taste how fresh the dumplings are. All the food was so delicious. We can't wait to try more! We will certainly be back.
I've been looking for a good Chinese food spot for a while and this place is such a gem! It feels homemade and just has such a comfortable yet classic atmosphere. Love the comfy booths, the calm instrumental music, and cool art!! Everything we tried was truly delicious and so flavorful: the orange chicken was crunchy yet tender and sweet- my fav. The shrimp fried rice has thick shrimp with savory eggs. The egg drop soup was so yummy and not too salty which I loved + it comes with fried wonton croutons which are so good. The chow mein also was so good, loved the chunks of vegetables and the chicken was also tender! I loved how the food wasn't like overly greasy or processed- everything taste freshly made!! The food came out quick! Our server was pretty quiet but I liked how the staff were welcoming and efficient. Would 100% come back!!
I'm not local to the area but one of my friends suggested this spot as she and her family have been coming here since she was a kid! Upon entering, I feel like I'm in a classic Chinese mom and pop restaurant you see on TV - the lighting is dim, the Chinese decor is plentiful, and there is a huge menu selection. Staff were friendly and very quick to come and take our order and clean up our dishes when finished. We got the: - hot and sour soup which was BOMB - stir fry vegetable medley which was cooked in this thick tasty gravy - beef chow fun which is jus a classic dish you can't go wrong with I love the wonton chips as appetizers! They were so perfectly crisp! This is a great spot for Chinese food!
A favorite around here for decades. The Chinese food is always made fresh with the best ingredients. My usual orders are beef chop Suey Mongolian chicken lo mein noodles. Fantastic customer service too.
The food was really good overall. It was packaged well (Togo). The one thing I would recommend is improving the kung pow tofu recipe. The kung pow sauce didn't taste like kung pow at all so that was confusing! The broccoli was so perfectly cooked and tastes amazing! Overall the food was ready quickly and everything was included.
This is the "go to" Chinese Restaurant in the Conejo Valley. Everyone who lives here feels that way. The food is solid and the service is always friendly and proficient. Anything you order here is just fine. Basically very fresh and rarely disappointing. You do not need a reservation, park in the large parking lot outside. They do a tremendous "to go" volume. Great atmosphere as well.
